Equality in the Workforce

Plato, possibly the fist campaigner for equal rights, the philosopher was born this day  427 BC. He said:

If women are expected to do the same work as men, we must teach them the same things.

Happy birthday Plato!

And now for something completely different…

Hi Everyone,

As you may or may not know, last year I did a podcast on iTunes of The Golden Book Marcus Aurelius, culminating in a visit to Rome to see the famous Equestrian Statue of Marcus in the Capitoline Museum (and other Marcus-related artifacts). Anyway I edited a version of the book to publish as a companion text to the podcast, and I’m very pleased to say that it is now available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1482359065

You can read more about the book here if you like: http://www.themapodcast.wordpress.com/about/about-the-golden-book/, which also has links to the podcast in various formats, more about Marcus himself, maps of the Roman Empire at the time, and more.

Enjoy!
