Good News: Big jump in hiring expectations in Irish Telecoms Sector

Great news for the employment market as Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC)s latest Business Sentiment Survey shows a massive second successive record high in Q4 2013, with the index recording a reading of +35, up from +17 only three months before. IBEC says expectations of employment growth were widespread in 13 out of 15 categories and were particularly high in the med-tech and telecoms sectors. 39% of Irish employers expect to increase basic pay this year

Interesting reading from IBEC (the Irish Business and Employers Confederation) that  39% of Irish employers expect to increase basic pay this year. 57% expect to freeze pay rates at their current level and 3%  likely to reduce pay this year by about 5%. Presumably the remaining 1% did not care to make a prediction. Source:
